Two Home Runs for Halin de Repentigny
Whitehorse, Yukon – The Artist Project (TAP) is pleased to announce two significant events in the evolving career of renowned Yukon artist Halin de Repentigny.
First, de Repentigny is featured as an “Artist to Collect” in the Spring 2015 edition of the influential Canadian art magazine, Arabella (http://arabelladesign.com/index.html.) Arabella showcases exceptional art, architecture and design with distribution throughout Canada and the United States
Susan Stanley, President of TAP says, “Halin was selected for a feature length article in Arabella, due to his ability to bring landscapes to life, his bold colours and sweeping brush strokes. That, plus the incredible story of his life which is quite phenomenal when you read it”.
de Repentigny is excited about the extensive coverage noting, "to be featured in such an elegant magazine, and to have all that national and international exposure, is gratifying and is an important step in gaining more widespread recognition of my work across Canada and beyond."
Following on the heels of the Arabella release, de Repentigny is also featured in a solo show at the prestigious Madrona Gallery in Victoria B.C. (http://www.madronagallery.com/) The “Northern Light” exhibition, featuring recent works from Yukon, opened to large crowds on March 21st. Michael Warren, owner of the Madrona Gallery said, “This exhibition is a great way to kick off our spring and summer season and we are thrilled to be introducing the incredible art of Halin to a new audience in B.C.” The exhibition will run through April 4th.
de Repentigny is thrilled about the opportunity to share his art with a new audience. “Being featured in a gallery of the stature of Madrona is a real honour for me and bringing the north to a new audience is a privilege.”
