Whitehorse, Yukon – The Artist Project (TAP) announced today, that new works by renowned Yukon artist Halin de Repentigny will make their public debut in Whitehorse Friday October 16th, 2015.

“We are thrilled to be able to share the first works of Halin’s new collection Divergence, with his fans in the Yukon” said Susan Stanley, President of TAP. “These new works continue to build on Halin’s reputation as an exceptional landscape artist but they also show another side of Halin that people don’t often get to see.”

“My life has always been one of seeking out the next adventure and Divergence is a reflection of that. For me the straight path definitely is the boring path” said de Repentigny. “I think artists need to tap their inner creativity and explore different styles and subject matter in order to stay fresh and grow. I will always be a landscape artist but that doesn’t mean that’s all I am.”

In keeping with the theme of Divergence, the new show will run for three days only. Susan Stanley noted “We want to make this a special event and a celebration of Halin’s unique talent. With Halin leaving for his winter adventures in Argentina it seemed fitting to limit the public exhibition to the three days he would be available to attend the show”. The entire Divergence collection will be available on line by the end of October and select pieces will be on display at partner galleries in Yukon and B.C. over the coming months.

Divergence will be presented at The Old Fire Hall 1105 Front Street Whitehorse Yukon.

Friday October 16th 5:00 – PM
Saturday October 17th 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Sunday October 18th Noon – 4:00 PM

The Artist Project is a business representing northern visual artists.
