A wild tangle of late-season undergrowth crowns a ridge of pale rock — not winter, but the raw geology of the forest floor revealed beneath the collapse of autumn growth. Warm clusters of pink and red brush erupt against cool slate and limestone hues, the two panels forming one continuous surge of colour and motion: growth, decay, and the earth itself exposed.
