New Works by Halin de Repentigny to Premiere Friday November 7th

Whitehorse, Yukon – The Artist Project (TAP) announced today, that new works by well-known Yukon artist Halin de Repentigny (http://halinderepentigny.ca/) will debut in Whitehorse Friday November 7, 2014.

“We are very excited to share the first works of Halin’s new collection Tributaries - Peel to Patagonia, with his fans in the Yukon” said Susan Stanley, President of TAP. “These works are focused on Halin’s early years in the Yukon spent living and trapping on the Hart River in the Peel Watershed and offer a stunning interpretation of this beautiful and remote region”.

de Repentigny will continue to build the Tributaries collection over the next few years, adding new pieces from time spent in his second home in the Patagonia region of Argentina, as well as additional works from his Yukon home.

“I have so many paintings inside of me right now that I decided to build Tributaries over a period of time or I would have had far too many paintings to show at once” said de Repentigny. “My time in the Peel was formative for me as an artist and as a person, and it continues to be a source of inspiration for me as I continue to explore new regions and interpret them through my painting”.

Tributaries – Peel to Patagonia will premiere at the North End Gallery, 118-1116 Front Street, in Whitehorse on Friday November 7, 2014 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. The exhibition will continue to the end of November.
